Friday News

Happy Halloween!

Our class has been hard at work this past week.  We recently started our unit on measurement and have practicing measuring to the nearest quarter inch.  We have also been plotting our measurement data on line plots.  Measuring to the quarter inch is a tricky skill, but we are catching on fast.  We will begin working on finding area and perimeter next week.

For the past few weeks, we have been joining Mrs. Dobart's class to learn all about Proctor history.  Did you know that the Abenaki Indians lived here over 400 years ago? Proctor use to be called Sutherland Falls because the first settler was John Sutherland. He settled here specifically because of the falls, which allowed him to build mills. We also learned that Proctor's downtown has changed drastically over time. Ask your child to tell you more about our interesting history.

Have a wonderful weekend!
